Grundfos Chemical Dosing Pump
The Grundfos DME is an electronic Digital Dosing pump with a brushless DC motor, controlling flow through stroke speed with a 1:800 turndown and ±1% repeatability. The DME range has four sizes from DME 60-10 to DME 940-4, 100-240 V AC supply, for chemical dosing.

Pump sizes and how to read the type code
According to Grundfos, the DME range has four sizes (DME 60-10, DME 150-4, DME 375-10, DME 940-4). In the type code the first number is the maximum capacity (l/h) and the number after the dash is the maximum pressure (bar); for example DME 375-10 means up to 375 l/h at 10 bar. The whole range covers roughly 75 ml/h to 940 l/h, at pressures up to 10 bar (145 psi).
Main specifications
- Principle: microprocessor-controlled brushless DC motor; the pump always runs at 100% stroke length and flow is adjusted through the speed of the discharge stroke; 1:800 turndown, ±1% repeatability.
- Remote control: pulse/contact or flow-proportional control, timer or pulse batch dosing, analog 0/4-20 mA, dual level, Profibus DP (AP variant).
- Pump head: polypropylene (PP), PVDF or stainless steel 1.4401; EPDM, PTFE or FKM gasket.
- 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply; IP65; liquid temperature 0 to 50°C; ambient temperature 0 to 45°C.
- Maximum viscosity 3000 cps at 50% capacity (with spring-loaded valves); maximum suction lift 6 m when running; cCSAus and CE approvals (pumps assembled in the USA do not carry CSA).
Information to send for a quote
- The full pump code from the type key (size, AR/AP/B variant, head material, gasket, valve ball, connection).
- The chemical to be dosed: name, concentration, viscosity and temperature.
- The required flow rate and the back pressure at the injection point; the power supply and the control type you want (pulse, 4-20 mA, Profibus).

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about CAD-FL-130
How do DME 60-10, DME 150-4, DME 375-10 and DME 940-4 differ?
The first number in the code is the maximum capacity (l/h) and the second is the maximum pressure (bar). DME 60-10 is 60 l/h at 10 bar, DME 150-4 is 150 l/h at 4 bar, DME 375-10 is 375 l/h at 10 bar and DME 940-4 is 940 l/h at 4 bar. The larger the size, the larger the diaphragm diameter.
How does the DME control flow?
The DME always runs at 100% stroke length and adjusts flow through the discharge stroke speed of a brushless DC motor, which gives a 1:800 turndown with ±1% repeatability. The flow is read directly on the display in l/h, ml/h or gal/h.
Which pump head material should I choose for my chemical?
Grundfos offers PP, PVDF or stainless steel 1.4401 heads with EPDM, PTFE or FKM gaskets. The choice depends on the chemical, its concentration and temperature, so send the chemical name and concentration and CAD will check them against the material compatibility tables.
What should I send CAD to quote a DME pump?
Send the pump code, or the required flow rate and back pressure, the chemical name and concentration, viscosity, temperature, the control type (pulse, 4-20 mA, Profibus) and the quantity. CAD quotes within 24 working hours.
