All mechanical components of this device are without ignition sources. As such, they are not subject to ATEX 95 (94/9/EC). All electrical components used with this device fulfil the ATEX requirements.

Applications

According to Honeywell, the HON 240 is used in a wide range of applications and facilities such as domestic and business premises, small industrial feeds, burners, heater units and boilers.

Types and safety shut-off

• P: without internal safety relief valve (SRV); R: with internal SRV; LR: internal SRV; SD: safety diaphragm.
• Can be fitted with an integral over-pressure cut-off (OPCO) or under-/over-pressure cut-off valve (UPCO/OPCO).
• Honeywell lists the HON 240 among the regulators that work with the HON 309 safety shut-off valve (the HON 309 is the “functional unit” for the HON 240, HON 270-3, HON 277, HON 204, HON 800 and HON 280-309).
