Applications
According to Tecofi, the CDB6461 is for pumping, water supply, the chemical industry and desalination plants. Fluids: clear and slightly charged water, gas and sea water.
Features and installation
- Wafer-type double plate check valve fitted between flanges; range DN40 to DN300; designed to API 594.
- Symmetrical flow with full opening; robust, lightweight construction with a small face-to-face length that needs no maintenance. A stainless steel spring assists closing and prevents the propagation of water hammer.
- Mount on horizontal piping or on vertical piping with ascending flow; the mounting direction is shown by the arrow on the body. For horizontal mounting the axis of the valve must be vertical.
- Keep 3 to 5 times the nominal diameter of straight pipe upstream and downstream of an elbow or appliance to stay out of turbulent zones; at a pump discharge, mount according to FD CEN/TR 13932.
- Mounting between flanges PN10, PN16, PN25 and PN40 (EN 1092-1) and Class 150 (PN20) and Class 300 (PN50) (ASME B16.5).
