Tecofi VG4400-00 Rising Stem Knife Gate Valve

VG4400-00 is a Tecofi (France) knife gate valve with handwheel, rising stem, ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 body, installed between PN10 flanges. This page covers VG4400-00 only. VG6400-00 has the same rising stem but a stainless steel 316 (CF8M) body, 316L gate and EPDM seat, rated to +130°C.

Difference from VG6400-00 and VG4400-001

• Body Ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 (GGG50), gate Stainless steel 304, seat and O-ring NBR; VG6400-00 has a Stainless steel 316 (CF8M) body, Stainless steel 316L gate and EPDM seat and O-ring.
• Maximum working temperature with the standard seat: -10°C / +80°C (VG6400-00: -10°C / +130°C). Metal/metal seat: -10°C / +80°C.
• Packing gland: Ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40); VG6400-00: Stainless steel CF8M (GX5CrNiMo 19-11-2).
• Flange standard: EN 1092-2 and DIN 2501; VG6400-00: EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-1.
• Body test pressure (DN50-250 / DN300-450 / DN500-600): 15 / 10.5 / 6 bar; VG6400-00: 15.4 / 12.6 / 7.2 bar. Seat test pressure is the same: 11 / 7.7 / 4.4 bar.
• Rising stem (the stem moves with the gate): overall height H at DN50 is 348 mm, while VG4400-001 (non-rising stem) is 291 mm.
• Metal-to-metal sealing is not recommended for liquid service: leakage rate equivalent to or higher than rate G per EN 12266-1 (per the datasheet).

Optional seat materials (maximum temperature per the datasheet): white NBR -10/+80°C, EPDM -10/+130°C, silicone -10/+170°C, FPM (Viton type) -10/+170°C, PTFE +4/+170°C (minimum working pressure 1 bar), CSM (Hypalon type) +4/+80°C.

Applications

Per the datasheet: water treatment networks, pulp and paper industry, chemical plants, winemaking, cement works, pneumatic transport, storage. Fluids: water, sewage, pulp, pasty products, powdery, granular, fibrous, abrasive and crystallizing media. Flow regulation of pasty or abrasive fluids is possible with a deflector installed.

Standards / Certification

Manufactured according to the requirements of European directive 2014/68/EU (pressure equipment), module H. Option: conformity to ATEX directive 2014/34/EU. Flanges per EN 1092-2 and DIN 2501 (ISO PN10); pressure tests per EN 12266-1, DIN 3230 and ISO 5208. Other product approvals: on request.

Installation

Mounted between two flanges, in the direction of the flow arrow on the body; tightness is unidirectional. Face-to-face dimension (L) is to the Tecofi standard.
