Tecofi EV1140 Brass Solenoid Valve
EV1140 is a Tecofi (France) brass solenoid valve, normally closed (NC), pilot operated diaphragm type, BSP female thread, DN 3/8″ to 3″. The valve is closed when the coil is de-energised and opens when it is energised. This page covers EV1140 only. EV1141 is in the same family but is normally open (NO).

Difference from EV1141
- State: EV1140 is normally closed (NC); EV1141 is normally open (NO).
- Size range: EV1140 from DN 3/8″ to DN 3″ (it also has DN10, DN65 and DN80); EV1141 from DN 1/2″ to DN 2″.
- Minimum differential pressure: EV1140 is 0.1 bar up to DN 2″ and 0.2 bar for DN 2″1/2 and 3″; EV1141 is 0.1 bar for every size.
- Maximum pressure, temperature, body material and seal are the same on both codes (per the datasheets).

Per the datasheet: water distribution networks, irrigation systems, power generation, plumbing, industrial washing machines, car wash plants, cooling of machine tools, water jet cleaners, autoclaves and similar uses, on clear water, hot water, steam and light oils.
Standards / Certification
BSP thread per ISO 228-1. Body and bonnet in forged brass CW617N (UNI EN 12165:98). Compatible coils include ATEX and IP67 types per the datasheet; state your requirement when asking for a quote.
Installation
Can be mounted in any position; installing with the coil vertical above the body is advised. Not for gases and air. Voltage is chosen through the coil (see the EVBOBINE codes or state the required voltage).
