Applications, standards and limits of use
According to Tecofi’s technical passport for the VPG4448-02 (the valve body shared with the electric actuated version), the valve is intended for ON/OFF or control use in fluid transfer circuits: water supply, water treatment, pumping, irrigation, industry and HVAC; fluids are cold water, hot water and wastewater. Use on steam is strongly discouraged.
- Design to NF EN 593; face-to-face to EN 558-1 series 20, ISO 5752 series 20 and DIN 3202.
- Mounting between ISO PN10/16 flanges to EN 1092-1; adjustable between ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges.
- Pressure tests to EN 12266-1, DIN 3230 and ISO 5208: body 24 bar, seat 17.6 bar.
- Maximum working pressure 16 bar (6 bar for compressed air); temperature -20 to +130 °C; vacuum of -0.8 bar for 10 minutes (laboratory tested).
- Sealing in both directions; ISO 5211 top flange for actuator mounting.
The N24 actuator by size
N24 is the TECOFI TEA single-phase 230 V, 50/60 Hz, ON/OFF electric actuator kit; it is fitted with 2 limit switches, 2 auxiliary limit switches, an anti-condensation heater, an emergency handwheel operated with a hexagon key and a visual position indicator, IP67. The actuator type for each DN is in the table above (column “VPG ΔP 16 bar”): for example DN50 to DN80 use the TEA-05-N24 and DN100 the TEA-10-N24. The catalogue lists no N24 kit for the DN32/40 size.
For a 3-phase 400 V supply Tecofi offers the N04 kit (TEA 3-phase 400 V ON/OFF); pneumatic versions use the N03/N07 codes. Ask CAD if you need one.
