PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Honeywell T6360A5013 Room Thermostat

• Dual diaphragm sensing element ensures close temperature control for all loads and applications
• Attractive modern styling makes this thermostat ideal for locating in the occupied space, particularly in offices or hotels
• All versions have heat anticipator, which improves temperature control in both heating and cooling operation
• Thermostat mounts directly onto a wall or conduit box
• Slide switches allow manual control of system operation and fan speed
• Auto heat/cool changeover possible (on some versions) by using pipe thermostat
• Optional extras:
– range stops F42006646-001 (20 per pack, enough for 10 thermostats)

Applications

The T4360/T6360 range are line-voltage room thermostats giving automatic ON/OFF control of gas valves, circulation pumps, relays and zone valves in heating, cooling or heating/cooling installations, where switching of up to 10 A (resistive) or 3 A (inductive) is required. The T6360 has changeover (SPDT) contacts for cooling or combined heating/cooling use.

Installation

  • Mounts directly on a wall or a conduit box; screws are supplied for both. An additional wall-plate is available for special mounting needs.
  • Install on an inside wall about 1.5 m above the floor, where there is good air circulation; avoid draughts, hot or cold air from water pipes, and radiant heat from the sun or appliances.
  • Terminals have conductor clamps and accept 2 wires of 1.0 to 2.5 mm². Double insulated, no earth wire is needed for operation. The installer must be a trained service engineer and must disconnect the power before installation; wire as shown to meet CE compliance.

Operation and durability

  • The sensing element is two circular flexible metal plates welded together, enclosing a small quantity of gas in liquid form whose pressure change operates a snap-acting switch.
  • The heat anticipator reduces overshoot and undershoot in systems with a high heating ramp rate.
  • Main switch life is above 100,000 operations at all loads; maximum differential 1.0°C at 20°C (typical 0.5°C).

Information to send for a quote

  • The full code (T6360A5013) and the quantity.
  • What is to be controlled (valve, pump, fan-coil fan…), the voltage and the load current so CAD can check the 10(3) A / 6(2) A contacts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about CAD-EL-231

How does the T6360 differ from the T4360?

According to Honeywell, the T4360 has single-pole single-throw (SPST) contacts for heating only, while the T6360 has SPDT changeover contacts for cooling or combined heating/cooling. Both are line-voltage 230 Vac.

What current can the T6360A5013 switch?

For the T6360A, B and C: 10(3) A on terminal 3 (heat) and 6(2) A on terminal 4 (cool); 230 Vac, 50-60 Hz. For larger loads, use an interposing relay or contactor.

Where in the room should the thermostat be placed?

On an inside wall about 1.5 m above the floor, in average air circulation; avoid draughts, hot or cold water pipes and direct sun. The operating temperature range of the unit is 0 to 40°C.

What should I send CAD to quote a T6360A5013?

Send the code T6360A5013, the quantity, and a description of what is to be controlled (valve, pump, fan-coil fan) with the voltage and load current. CAD quotes within 24 working hours.
