Construction
- Rising stem gate valve, flanged PN16, short pattern; range DN40 to DN400.
- Full bore: the wedge is fully withdrawn from the flow when open; low pressure drop.
- Good tightness through brass seats fitted in the body and a brass sealing ring on the wedge; packing gland on the stem.
- Operated by handwheel.
- Liquid epoxy RAL 5015, 100 microns, on body and bonnet; epoxy RAL 5015, 80 microns, on the handwheel.
Standards and tests
- Flanges according to EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-2 (ISO PN16).
- Face-to-face according to EN 558-1 series 14 and DIN 3202 F4 (short pattern).
- Pressure test according to EN 12266-1 and ISO 5208: body 24 bar, seat 17.6 bar.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about V4242
How does the V4242 gate valve differ from the VOC4241C?
The V4242 is a rising stem gate valve with metal (brass) seats, 16 bar, up to +180 °C, for water, oil and steam. The VOC4241C is a resilient seat gate valve (EPDM-covered wedge) with a non-rising stem, 16 bar, up to +110 °C, for water and non-aggressive neutral liquids.
Can the V4242 be used on steam?
Yes. Tecofi lists water, oil and steam as fluids, with a maximum working pressure of 16 bar and a maximum working temperature of +180 °C. Send the actual steam pressure and temperature so CAD can check.
Which flange standard does the V4242 follow?
Flanges according to EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-2 (ISO PN16); face-to-face according to EN 558-1 series 14 / DIN 3202 F4 (short pattern). Sizes DN40 to DN400.
What do I send to get a quote for the V4242?
Send the DN, quantity, flange standard, fluid, pressure and temperature. CAD quotes within 24 working hours.
