Tecofi gate valves
A gate valve opens or closes the line fully with a wedge that rises and falls; the bore is clear when open, so pressure loss is low, and it is typically used as an isolating valve on pipework. Tecofi lists six models: V1142A (brass), V2143W (bronze) and V6140 (CF8M stainless) with BSP threads; VOC4241C, VOC4241C2C (with monitoring switch) and V4242 (rising stem) in ductile iron with flanges.

How does a gate valve differ from a ball or butterfly valve?
A gate valve is for fully open or fully closed duty, not throttling; ball and butterfly valves close with a quick quarter turn, and a butterfly valve can also throttle.
Rising stem or non-rising stem?
A rising stem lifts as the valve opens, so the position is visible at a glance; it needs headroom. Ask a CAD engineer to match it to your installation.

What temperature and pressure can Tecofi gate valves handle?
Per the datasheets, the bronze V2143W is rated 20 bar and -10°C to +170°C; the CF8M stainless steel V6140 16 bar and -20°C to +180°C; the brass V1142A 16 bar and -10°C to +80°C. The flanged ductile iron versions are rated 16 bar, and the V4242 goes up to +180°C.
Is there a gate valve with a monitoring switch?
Yes. The VOC4241C2C is a ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 gate valve with PN10/16 flanges, rated 16 bar and -10°C to +110°C, fitted with a monitoring switch. The VOC4241C is the same type without the switch. Send your DN and working pressure and CAD will select the right model for you.
