TECOFI VPG4448 Cast Iron Butterfly Valve
Tecofi VPG4448 is a wafer butterfly valve for PN10/16 flanges with an EN-GJS-400-15 ductile iron body, nickel-plated ductile iron disc and EPDM sleeve, DN32/40 to DN300. Code -02 has a handle and -08 a handwheel. Maximum working pressure 16 bar, -20 to +130 °C, NF EN 593 design, ISO 5211 top flange.

Applications, standards and limits
According to Tecofi’s technical passport (version F, 09/2024), VPG valves are intended for ON/OFF or control use in fluid transfer circuits: water supply, water treatment, pumping, irrigation, industry and HVAC. Fluids are cold water, hot water, wastewater and liquid discharges. Use on steam is strongly discouraged.
- Design to NF EN 593; manufactured to European directive 2014/68/EU (pressure equipment, module H).
- Face-to-face to EN 558-1 series 20, ISO 5752 series 20 and DIN 3202.
- Mounting between ISO PN10/16 flanges to EN 1092-1 and GOST PN10/16; adjustable between ASME B16.5 Class 150 (ISO PN20) flanges.
- Pressure tests to EN 12266-1, DIN 3230 and ISO 5208: body 24 bar, seat 17.6 bar.
- Sealing in both directions; soft sleeve; profiled thin disc with reduced head losses and low operating torque; raised neck compatible with pipe insulation.
- Body coated with epoxy paint RAL 5015, 250 µm, a C5-M anticorrosion system per NF EN ISO 12944.
- Two-part stem with PTFE bushings; ISO 5211 top flange for electric or pneumatic actuators.

What is the difference between VPG4448-02 and VPG4448-08?
Same valve body; the -02 is operated by a padlockable handle and the -08 by a handwheel (gearbox). Order codes and weights by DN are in the table.
Can the valve be used on steam?
The manufacturer strongly discourages use on steam. Suitable media are cold water, hot water, wastewater and liquid discharges between -20 and +130 °C.
Between which flanges does it mount?
Between ISO PN10/16 flanges to EN 1092-1 (and GOST PN10/16); adjustable between ASME B16.5 Class 150 flanges. It is a wafer type with smooth centering lugs.
Can it take an electric or pneumatic actuator?
