Semi-automatic start
According to Honeywell, the EC7885/RM7885 is an integrated burner control for semi-automatically fired gas, oil or combination-fuel single burner industrial applications. The system consists of a relay module, subbase and amplifier, and suits continuous, high-low or modulating firing.
- Torch ignition of a main burner or pilot, using an S445A Start-Stop Station or any conventional start-stop station.
- Electric ignition for a direct-ignition oil burner or pilot: electric ignition is maintained as long as the Start switch is pressed, up to 15 minutes.
- Normal sequence: Initiate 10 seconds; Standby and Run can be indefinite; Ignition is limited to 15 minutes. Lockout if the Start switch is held for 15 minutes.
Compatibility and installation
- A Q7800A1005 (panel mount) or Q7800B1003 (wall mount) subbase and a plug-in flame signal amplifier are required; the amplifier sets the flame failure response time of 0.8 or 3.0 seconds.
- Options: Keyboard Display Module (KDM), PC interface, Data ControlBus, remote display, first-out annunciator and Combustion System Manager software.
- Non-volatile memory keeps the history and sequence status through power loss; five LEDs show the sequence; maximum connected load 2000 VA, 15 A fast-blow fuse; operating temperature -40°C to +60°C.
