Package 15, Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant

Tender package 15 (EPC-QT1) of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project is a design, supply of goods and construction (EPC) package for two 600MW units, awarded through international open tendering, with a contract period of 48 months.

Scope of package 15 (EPC-QT1)

Package 15 (EPC-QT1), Design, Supply of Goods and Construction (EPC), is procured through international open tendering. Participating contractors must submit a bid security of VND 600 billion.

The package covers: detailed engineering design, construction drawing design, supply, construction, installation, operation, commissioning, performance testing and full handover of two 600MW (net capacity) units, and warranty; the transmission lines that connect to the 500kV distribution substation; and operator training and technology transfer.

Project information

Power Project Management Board 2 – a branch of Vietnam Electricity (the procuring entity) announced that it issued the bidding documents for package 15 from 10 June to 7 September 2020, at a price of VND 30,240,827,000,000.

The Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project has a total investment of VND 42,022,871,000,000, with Vietnam Electricity as the investor. At the time of the tender (2020), the project was expected to be completed and the plant put into operation by 2023.
