Industrial gas pressure regulators
A gas pressure regulator (also called a gas pressure reducing valve) lowers pipeline gas pressure to the working pressure and holds it steady as flow or inlet pressure changes. CAD lists the two names together in this one category, split by where it is used: on gas pipelines, and on the burner gas train next to the shut-off solenoid valve and filter.
| Used on | Model | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Gas pipeline | Honeywell HON 240 | Single diaphragm |
| Gas pipeline | Honeywell HON 200 | Pilot operated |
| Burner line | Kromschröder VGBF | Gas pressure reducing valve |
| Burner line | Kromschröder VAD, VAG, VAH, VAV, VRH (valVario) | Regulator with solenoid valve in one unit |
Brands listed here: Honeywell, Kromschröder. CAD advises on the model from inlet/outlet pressure, flow, pipe size and gas type, and provides datasheets, CO/CQ, and installation and commissioning support. Further reading: Pressure reducing valves: construction and operation.

How does a gas pressure reducing valve differ from a regulator?
In essence they do the same job, lowering and steadying gas pressure; both names are used in the market so CAD lists them in one category. Choose by where it is used (pipeline or burner line).
What do you need for a quote?
