TECOFI VPG4648-02 Lug Butterfly Valve, Ductile Iron Disc, Handle

VPG4648-02 is a Tecofi (France) lug butterfly valve of the Tecfly VPG Genius range: ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40) body, nickel-plated ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40) disc, Heat EPDM seat, operated by a one-piece aluminium handle, padlockable, with a notched sector giving 10 positions. Size range DN40–DN300, maximum working pressure 16 bar, working temperature -20°C / +130°C.

How does VPG4648-02 differ from VPG4648-08?

VPG4648-02 differs from VPG4648-08 in the operator: VPG4648-02 uses a one-piece aluminium handle, padlockable, with a notched sector giving 10 positions, while VPG4648-08 uses a gearbox with a cast iron handwheel. Body, disc, seat, size range (DN40–DN300), maximum working pressure of 16 bar and working temperature are the same for both codes per the Tecofi datasheet. VPG4648-02 weighs 1.93–38 kg depending on size, against 5.95–45.28 kg for VPG4648-08.

How to read the VPG code (from Tecofi’s VPG range): 46 = lug, 48 = nickel-plated ductile iron disc; suffix -02 = handle, -08 = gearbox.

Per the Tecofi datasheet, VPG4648-02 is used in water supply, water treatment, pumping, irrigation, industry and HVAC; fluids: cold water, hot water, wastewater and liquid discharges, etc. The datasheet strongly discourages use on steam.
