L is the overall length. A “—” means the order code of that size is not in CAD’s current list; contact CAD to check. The CA1100 datasheet gives sizes in inches; the DN (mm) column is the matching conversion.
Difference from CA1142
- CuZn39Pb2 copper alloy body and bonnet; CA1142 uses CW617N brass.
- Nitrile + plastic disc; CA1142 lists a PA + ABS disc with a flat NBR gasket.
- Maximum working pressure falls with size (12 / 10 / 8 bar); CA1142 is 16 bar at every size.
- Size range starts at DN10 (3/8″); CA1142 starts at DN15.
- Overall length and weight from DN65 up differ from CA1142 (for example DN100: 111.5 mm and 3.00 kg against 114 mm and 3.11 kg).
- The CA1100 datasheet states horizontal or vertical mounting; CA1142 states any position.
Applications
The datasheet names general uses: water distribution, building services, fuel pumping and pumping in general.
Standards / Approvals
- BSP thread to ISO 228-1.
- Pressure test to EN 12266-1, DIN 3230, BS 5154 and ISO 5208: body PS x 1.5; seat PS x 1.1.
- The CA1100 datasheet (Rev. K, 2012) does not state a certificate.
