VPE4448-08EP is a Tecofi (France) wafer butterfly valve of the Teclarge VPE range: ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40) body, ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40) disc, Heat EPDM seat, operated by a handwheel gearbox whose ISO 5210 output plate takes multiturn electric actuators. Size range DN350–DN1200, maximum working pressure 16 bar, working temperature -15°C / +130°C (peak -30°C / +150°C).

How does VPE4448-08EP differ from VPE4408-08EP?

VPE4448-08EP has a maximum working pressure of 16 bar (PN16 flanges) while VPE4408-08EP is rated 10 bar (PN10). The body / seat test pressure is 24 / 17.6 bar for VPE4448-08EP and 15 / 11 bar for VPE4408-08EP. Body, disc (ductile iron disc), seat (Heat EPDM), handwheel gearbox and working temperature are the same. Size range: DN350–DN1200 for VPE4448-08EP versus DN700–DN1200 for VPE4408-08EP. From DN350 to DN600 it fits PN10, PN16 or Class 150 flanges; from DN700 to DN1200 it is PN16.

How to read the VPE code (inferred from Tecofi’s datasheets): 44 = wafer, 45 = flanged, 46 = lug; last two digits 08 / 09 = PN10 with ductile iron / stainless disc, 48 / 49 = PN16 with ductile iron / stainless disc; -08 = handwheel gearbox; EP = EPDM seat.
