TECOFI VPG4649-02 Lug Butterfly Valve, Stainless Steel Disc, Handle

VPG4649-02 is a Tecofi (France) lug butterfly valve of the Tecfly VPG Genius range: ductile iron EN-GJS-400-15 (GGG40) body, 316 stainless steel disc (CF8M), EPDM (the datasheet says Heat EPDM, Tecofi’s product page says EPDM ACS) seat, operated by a one-piece aluminium handle, padlockable, with a notched sector giving 10 positions. Size range DN40–DN300, maximum working pressure 16 bar, working temperature -20°C / +130°C.

How does VPG4649-02 differ from VPG4649-08?

VPG4649-02 differs from VPG4649-08 in the operator: VPG4649-02 uses a one-piece aluminium handle, padlockable, with a notched sector giving 10 positions, while VPG4649-08 uses a gearbox with a cast iron handwheel. Body, disc, seat, size range (DN40–DN300), maximum working pressure of 16 bar and working temperature are the same for both codes per the Tecofi datasheet. VPG4649-02 weighs 1.93–38 kg depending on size, against 5.95–45.28 kg for VPG4649-08.

How to read the VPG code (from Tecofi’s VPG range): 46 = lug, 49 = 316 stainless steel disc; suffix -02 = handle, -08 = gearbox.

Per the Tecofi datasheet, VPG4649-02 is used in water supply, water treatment, pumping, irrigation and industry; fluids: cold water, hot water, drinking water, air (6 bar maximum for compressed air) and compatible fluids, etc. The datasheet strongly discourages use on steam.

• Body epoxy coated, RAL 5015, 250 µm, C5M corrosion protection system to NF EN ISO 12944.
• The datasheet lists a certificate of health conformity (ACS, for drinking water) available on request, no. 22 ACC LY 475 and n° 2309075.
