TECOFI CA1142 Brass Spring Check Valve
CA1142 is a Tecofi (France) spring-loaded axial check valve with a CW617N brass body, BSP female threads at both ends to ISO 228/1, DN15 (1/2″) to DN100 (4″), rated up to 16 bar for hot water, cold water and drinking water. This page covers CA1142 only; CA1100 is also an axial check valve in copper alloy but has a CuZn39Pb2 body, a nitrile and plastic disc and a lower pressure rating (8 to 12 bar depending on size).

Difference from CA1100
- Body and bonnet in CW617N brass; CA1100 uses CuZn39Pb2 copper alloy (ASTM B124 C37700).
- PA + ABS disc with a flat NBR gasket; CA1100 lists a nitrile + plastic disc.
- Max. working pressure 16 bar at every size; CA1100 is 12 bar (DN10-DN25), 10 bar (DN32-DN50) and 8 bar (DN65-DN100).
- Size range DN15 to DN100; CA1100 starts at DN10 (3/8″).
- The CA1142 datasheet states installation in any position; the CA1100 datasheet states horizontal or vertical mounting.
- Same -20°C / +100°C working temperature and same BSP thread to ISO 228 as CA1100.
