Difference from F4240B-EP

  • Medium: F4240C-EA states steam and compatible fluids; F4240B-EP states water and compatible fluids.
  • Flange: PN10/16 (double drilling PN10/PN16 from DN250 up, PN16 only for DN200) versus PN16 for F4240B-EP.
  • Stainless steel 304 screen, mesh 1.5–3.5 mm (F4240B-EP: stainless steel 316, 1–1.6 mm).
  • Working temperature up to +300°C (F4240B-EP: +120°C).
  • Body material changes with size (GGG50 for DN15–32, GGG40 from DN40).
  • The F4240C-EA datasheet shows no ACS mark (EAC only) and names no EPDM gasket in the construction other than the 45# + EPDM gasket of DN350–400.

Applications

According to the datasheet: protection of installations and the equipment on them against impurities and large solid particles; area of use is heating and water networks, with steam and compatible fluids.

Standards / Certification

  • Flanges to EN 1092-2; face-to-face to EN 558-1 series 1 and DIN 3202/1 series F1
  • Hydraulic tests to EN 12266-1, DIN 3230 and ISO 5208 (body: working pressure x 1.5)
  • The datasheet shows the EAC mark
